“The last entrepreneur in Telecom”
Current Employee – been working at T-Mobile full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Seattle area location and culture is conducive to creativity while operating among and with some of the biggest Information Technology and internet companies in the world.
Centralization of corporate lends itself to diverse career opportunities.
Benefits, although on a reduction trend are still very strong (Health, Retirement, Incentives ect..)
Cons – Intensive capital required to compete with too big to fail telecom companies constrains operational funds.
Meeting based culture lends itself to extensive red-tape and inefficiencies.
Advice to Senior Management – Learn how to support the non-enterprise technology needs of business divisions.
Greater emphasis and financial support of continued education.
