I have been working at T-Mobile as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

If you're looking for a company that has cultural diversity, relaxed atmosphere and where the management genuinely cares about your well-being, this would be that company.

    Cons

There is no room for advancement or permanent placement, as most folks have been working there for many, many years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide the proper training before placing someone into a position they've had no prior exposure into. Instead of layoffs, consider reassigning to a position where strengths can be better utilized.

I have been working at T-Mobile full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Family friendly environment. They allow more of a work/life balance than other companies.

    Cons

Challenging environment to work in and get decisions made from upper level management. Not many current employees understand the technical environment and making changes to it is a challenge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do more to retain talent who understand your environment. Remove managers who don't really want to lead and replace them with those who do. You have to really want to be a leader.
