I worked at T-Mobile full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

The pay is ridiculously good for the little work you do. Base + commission and great benefits( paid vacation, employee phone plan, 401k, stock options, etc)

Cons

Management works like a high school/ college fraternity. If you're not with the "in crowd" you will be nothing but a sales person. Promotions are based on friendship not merit. Very disappointing to hard working individuals.

Advice to Management

Management is the only thing killing the company, top to bottom. The only thing keeping tmobile afloat is John legere and his few hard -and-smart working frontline employees.

I have been working at T-Mobile full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The time off is good, discounted phone plans are a nice perk, and the people I work with are great. Good work is recognized in bonuses. They recognize the top contributors in the company, and it's overall a fun place to work.

    Cons

They will work you hard. It can be hard to move up in a non-sales or non-call center role if you're not in Seattle. Good work will give you bonuses, but not necessarily advancement. An attitude of "We don't do that because we've always done it this way" can get in the way of innovation and creativity sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Let go of the bureaucracy. There's too much red tape to do anything.

  2. Fast Growing Company, Lots of Opportunity

    Pros

Great bonus structure, easy to climb the ladder (in my market at least), Lots of fun, Play with new technology, paid training every month

    Cons

Lots of pressure to meet metrics, computer programs are slower than molasses in the winter
