T. Rowe Price – “Excellent Workplace but...”
Pros
After interning for just one summer at T. Rowe Price, my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt. The office is not a cutthroat environment and the upper level management makes it a point to interact with employees of all levels. In that sense, lower level employees had an idea of the direction of the company though it was unclear how much a hand they would have in it.
Cons
I found the office to be devoid of competition, which may have been due to what appeared to be a lack of advancement opportunities within the firm. There did not seem to be much room for promotion and employees seemed to be almost too content with whatever role they filled.
Advice to Senior Management
I would advise management to clearly illustrate opportunities for advancement to attract a more ambitious set of employees.
