Pros

Salary is above the competition's norms plus it is based on your experience and value. Across the board, Benefits are at or above the level of their competitors; Very Work/Life Balance oriented environment. For a company as heavily engaged in Federal Government Contracting as this Mid-sized company TASC is a definite step above.

Cons

Heavily engaged in Federal Government contracting, in these fiscal times of Government "belt-tightening" and "sequestration" definitely tends to have negative impact on a company's employee base when contracts are being awarded based more on cost-to-the-government than expertise and past performance.

Advice to Management

Keep fighting for the "Wins" but never lower your standards to get them.

    Pros

Managers care about their folks. Great group to work with a lot of retired military. They do value highly skilled people.

    Cons

KKR bought TASC,now they are changing healthcare to HSA that retired military can not use or be fined by the IRS. Cutting 401K match and time off. The cost cutting to compete and pay for the loans they used buy the company from NG. They have lost several contracts as of late.

    Advice to Management

There are better ways to cut cost, reduce payments to hedge fund. Your people are the asset it is better to ask them to take a pay cut, then gut the healthcare

    Pros

open management, strong engineering and management skills. broad access to several growth gov markets. Good treating of people and their careers.

    Cons

Several layers of hierarchy and long lead in adoption of new types of business. great for engineer and managers, a bit slow for people in between.

    Advice to Management

Focus on translating your strategy to execution. The organization is too used to old way of doing business. Keep up the great work!
