Former Employee - Call Center Department Lead  in  Minneapolis, MN
Former Employee - Call Center Department Lead in Minneapolis, MN

Pros

Flexible schedule, tuition reimbursement, good learning opportunity. Working in the call center you can wear clothing you are comfortable in.

Cons

TCF doesn't have a good reputation and you are under paid in comparison to most other banks. Growth opportunities are somewhat limited.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more on quality hires and you can improve turnover rates which will lead to better employee retention, customer service and a happier work environment.

Former Employee - Branch Manager in Denver, CO

    Pros

There are not many perks with working with this company. Security is not a top priority, only sales. The best part of this job was getting to know the people.

    Cons

Low pay scale, small bank trying to imitate big bank sales numbers without the structure or process of how to achieve success. To be told to "grab outside sales accounts" at a bus station or pawn shop is demoralizing and a waste of time and efforts. Sales goals are extremely aggressive, and without a targeted plan for achievement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value your employees-give direction to acheive the out of reach goals that are in place. Knowledge of the market is crucial. Stop asking employees to recruit from no quality channels such as bus stops and pawn stores. This would be the reason for high attrition and charge offs!
