Pros

great boss and great co workers, employment options to move up in management, great benefits and work schedule, overall I was satisfied with my employment while at Tire Centers

Cons

lousy district manager, no real warning about getting laid off and then having him quash my ability to work in this area because he did not like my former boss

I have been working at TCi Tire Centers full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Company is fair. Internal movement / promotions are always looked at to grow an employee. Large company with many locations.

    Cons

There is always negative in a company but it's a matter of how professional you are to deal with it and grow as an individual.

Every company has challenges no matter where you go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep working in the direction you are going, there has been great improvement and I look forward to the many great things you have in store for us as a company!

    Pros

not really any pros here. its a job and you are a robot working for big business

    Cons

if they like you and put you in their "click", you get away with murder. if they recognize you are a team player, they will work your butt off, give you the most hectic routes and will be out on those routes long after EVERYONE else has went home. in my case for a while, they were taking 45 minutes for my lunch break for almost 6 months, I caught it at the end of the year(they blamed it on a computer glitch) I did get it back though. they overloaded my truck on one occasion (way over legal weight) and sent me on my way (with no concern) just with an attitude of "go get the job done" putting people in trucks that do not have cdl license, require you to come in early to watch "training videos" that are not training videos at all.... they are videos of all the "brass" and corporate big shots popping tops on champagne bottles in million dollar ballrooms with overpriced catering enjoying their big salaries and then having Guy Peckle come on and say what a lousy job your doing, work harder for him, devote more of your quality time to his company so basically he and his friends can pop more champagne bottles and spend more money in stupid ways for the future ..... I could go on and on for days...... if you think I jest , lets get Guy and ALL HIS BUDDIES up from South Carolina to strap up to a polygraph machine, ask them THE "RIGHT QUESTIONS" AND I'LL BET WE'LL FIND OUT WHAT KINDA PEOPLE THEY REALLY ARE---- AND MOST OF ALL... WHO YOU REALLY WORK FOR !!!! C'MON GUY TAKE THE CHALLENGE.... STRAP UP AND SEND THAT OUT AS ONE OF YOUR LITTLE TRAINING VIDEOS

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

management resign........ .......lower employees form a union, demand Guy's resignation..... board of directors-- resign....... this place needs to be completely reformed... end of story
