I have been working at TD Bank part-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

I enjoy working with the public and meeting many different people. The pay is fair. The staff banking benefits are very good.

Cons

If you are part-time, be prepared to work alot of evenings and weekends. It can really take effect on your family and social life. There are not many positions in retail banking available that are full time.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I feel there is a lack of upward mobility in the workplace. Sometimes I feel stuck in my position, especially part-time. If it would be possible, more job training would be wonderful!

I worked at TD Bank part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good team environment and plenty of support.

    Cons

So much focus on selling products to clients that might not actually be to their benefit. You must meet your targets at a minimum. Even when clients are frustrated and have told you several times that they just want to get their transaction completed and go, management still expects you to push another product to them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When a branch is busy and the clients are frustrated, just let us read the clients and only promote products to those who seem open to it. We can catch the others when it's not busy and people are not fuming.
