TDS Telecom – “You could have a worse job in life.”
Pros
It beats pumping gas at 7/11. The everyday people you work with are some of the best in the business. I have made friends for life there. They have a really good maternity leave program (at least they did) not sure about it anymore.
They have a good training program, meaning you can request about any CBT you can think of and pump up your resume for your next career move.
Cons
The pay at TDS is sub par with the rest of the telecom industry. Little or no chance of advancement. Transfer is out of the question unless you want to pay for it yourself. Benefits are continually cut, to the point of breaking federal regulation, and no one seems to care. Sure get a lawyer and sue, all the money you would be gotten back will be eaten up in legal expenses. TDS won't mind, they have a legal department on staff for just that eventuality.
Advice to Senior Management
Kill middle management, they have no clue. And they lie, that's right I said LIE to employees. Then deny saying anything.
