Pros

Working for TEC was a very good experience. The supervisors leave you alone if you do your job. They listen and try to help. The company is always trying to do things like company meals, ice cream and cake to show their appreciation.

Cons

The job is unreliable due to the economy. You can be laid off at a drop of a hat. The salary is not outstanding for a multimillion dollar company.

Advice to Management

Get down on the floor and sit side by side with your workers and see from their perspective how the job is. Some of the rates were too high and even though it went through the ranks, nothing was done.

    Pros

Still have some folks that know what they're doing

    Cons

Emphasis on three areas: hiring former Motorola Mobility folks, Ex-Military, and Finance Degrees. Everything else is secondary

    Advice to Management

The splintering of the company into 15+ BU's has caused a derth of feet on the street. Print position is being lost at an alarming rate. Need to get rid of the management that implemented the TAM to DTAM program as the conversion rate is less than 1-1.

    Pros

Stong stable company and world leader in the electronic connector industry.
Opportunity to develop in your career if you make an effort to look.
New hiring appears to be targeting more diverse industry backgrounds.

    Cons

Old ways slow down original growth.
Some folks have been around since before dirt causing career trees to resemble sticks.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving the direction you are forging. Old ways and paradigms die hard.
