Pros

Consistent profitability - Lots of great people trying hard to do the right thing.
Company gives employees a chance to prove their worth. Senior leadership is consistent in owning the actions of their responsible parties - for the most part. Work-life balance is respected. Good benefits.

Cons

Strong resistance to organizational change. Clear goals are often set, but rarely measured and only positive reinforcement is given, no criticism. Apparent lack in leadership accountability.
Completely non-existent career development strategies for employees. Lack of robust training programs, both for new hires and cross-functional collaboration. (However, technical training for support roles is strong.) Burden of pay raises falls to employees.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Largest criticism is the lack of career development of employees. Secondarily, being unwilling to trim entrenched, poorly performing business keeps the company weighed down.

    Pros

If you like to work overtime, there are many chances to make extra money. If you like to have most of your day open, 6-2:30 would be a good shift for you.

    Cons

Hard to advance even when superior to other applicants. Tenure seems to outweigh knowledge and qualifications for the job. Mandatory overtime near the holidays.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More transparent communication with your workers is needed. Team members feel used and abused and unfairly compensated where true or not.

    Pros

Great pay, friend, and opportunities for advancement
    Flexible vacation schedule
    "West coast" business process
Large amounts of autonomy for some positions

    Cons

Some of the Pros can also translate into Cons, especially with regard to the "west coast" style of doing business. Things are very loosey goosey, which can often allow under performers float along at great detrement to the business

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Drag the net for trash, and you retain some greater number of your most talented.

Also, promote the best... don't let them wallow in low level positions while watching less talented people to move up past them
