Pros

Very good work environment. Highly competitive compensation. Very solid company and great people.

Not a sexy, high profile consumer business, but one that adds very high value to its customers. Can seem chaotic at times.

I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-In some areas Tibco uses very latest tools and technologies. -HR in pune India nether hinders nor helps. -Flexible work timings -frequent B1 visits to Paloalto office -Good for QA engineers to join pune office. -Good pay

    Cons

-Fresher or experienced hires -No training provided on product or technology in engineering department. -Pune center is mainly a QA hub .The Dev teams dont own much areas in the product and are meant for carrying out average and below average tasks sent from Paloalto. -Not many team outings and mostly budget gets spent on un-necessary US visits. -Only a few smart engineers stayed in the company. -No initiatives like contests , hackathons that you typically expect in a product development company. -very very hard to move between dev teams. -product release cycles are not uniform. No work or full work.

    Advice to Management

-Please concentrate on Indian engineering department.Stop making one product manager lead other products in which he is not interested.Get some one to lead engineering not just his or her product team.

I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

TIBCO has very good product, working with them would give a good technical experience. the pay good salaries at the start but almost no increase as you go along.

    Cons

    - No training, they don't invest in people at all! - Very weak HR, they always side with the company against the employee. - Manager explore all the loop holes in the contract with the help of HR/ legal team. Example for sales people they put a clause that allow TIBCO the right to change compensation without prior notice. - Very flat organisation with little potential to grow within the organisation even after spending 3-4 years with excellent achievement in the same role. - Expect to have pay cuts on commissions without logical reasons. -Most of the roles require at least 50% travel time, no business class tickets are allowed even to directors on any flight that include +10 hour flights!

    Advice to Management

I think the management should start looking into investing in people more seriously. the focus should be more on the sales people rather than the technical. TIBCO is a specialized company and a high turn over will not help the the growth of the company. There should be more investment in RnD especially in the newly bought products.
