Pros

The people in my office were nice and the company culture is very laid back. I didn't feel pushed to work a lot more hours and generally they have a nice work/life balance.

Cons

Field work didn't interest me. Did lots of QC since I was an intern. Not very many young people. Office is very separated by group and didn't feel like I met many people not in my area. I wish it would've had more of a program for young professionals since I felt a little left out.

Advice to Management

Try to make new employees feel more welcome

    Pros

TRC attracts some very good, young talent and provides young engineers opportunities to learn and develop by taking on new tasks.

    Cons

TRC does not promote women or have an internal structure for advancement. It is generally top heavy and management does not appreciate contributions of non-engineering staff. The company works strictly on contracts so job stability is low. Favoritism is common.

    Advice to Management

HR should be a place where staff can go with issues and for advice without fear of retribution. When you continually lose proposals, evaluate the work being submitted.
