I worked at TRG Field Solutions

    Pros

When I started, it was actually a decent job. We had decent promotions to work with; a base salary; a boss who actually did a decent job; pay was acceptable; a decent sales team. However, all that changed very quickly.. see cons.

    Cons

100% Commission; door to door sales; no gas or cell compensation; incredibly high turnover; lack of management; payroll flaws common; mandatory 6 day work weeks; selling FiOS with promotions which are not nearly as good as whats offered online; Verizon customer service sucks; unable to place orders occasionally b/c of call center and 'spot' device issues; given crappy leads; etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some base salary is needed to attract talent to door-to-door sales. Also, having no gas or cell compensation is unethical. Make 6 day work weeks optional; make Verizon give D2D reps better promos and better leads; pay reps for upgrades and credit drops (where a rep would have made the sale had Verizon not required a $400 deposit), rely less on D2D and set up apartment events and mall kiosks, and make sure skilled salesmen make good money.
