Horrible. Save yourself a lot of anguish and look elsewhere. Don't let the pay fool you.

TSO (Former Employee)
Orlando, FL

I worked at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) full-time for more than 8 years

ProsPay and benefits is the only good thing about TSA. But YOU will end up paying in the end.

ConsIrate and disrespectful passengers, micro management, favoritism, lack of integrity, inexperienced leadership, no concern for employees whatsoever, unfair promotions, barely any chance for advancement, and almost no opportunity for a raise or bonus. I worked there over 9 years and the organization only got worse over with time. I was miserable everyday year after year, I'm just so grateful I've finally moved on.

Advice to Senior ManagementCare. But they won't.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

This job is EXTREMELY Overrated

Transportation Security Officer (Current Employee)
Newark, NJ

I have been working at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) part-time for more than 5 years

Pros: If you have no life and are willing to work constantly then… Cons: Management is completely clueless. The SOP (rule book) is CONSTANTLY changing and you are expected to know and keep up with all changes even though… Advice to Senior Management: Be more realistic when enforcing rules because everything isn't black… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More

chaotic, changing, but unneccessarily,

Lead Transportation Security Officer (Current Employee)
Charlotte, NC

I have been working at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: needed security for traveling public.. a lot of good people… Cons: too many, nepotism, favoritism, cronyism, etc.. Not really transparent towards their employees. unqualified people in positions of leadership, administration, and many other important positions have… Advice to Senior Management: solve above mentioned!!! No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
