Pros – Facility is nice, safe, comfortable.
Technology is current and close to leading edge.
OS software is current, but applications software is behind and "in house" is problematic.
Pay is decent, but a little below market.
Work life balance is generally good, but can be a challenge at times.
Cons – No formal performance review policy.
Bonus is tenure based and so low, it's an insult.
No regular raise schedule (see performance review)
Upper management lacks understanding of current technology.
ITIL methodology is shunned in favor of a reactive, "everything's on fire" mentality.
Cuts costs everywhere possible, starting with employee benefits.
Benefits? Not even close to being competitive.
High turnover rate.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your pool of knowledgeable, talented employees. They want you to succeed, but you are holding them back and running them off.
