An OK company for a political player! Be ready to work long hours with a great deal of repetitive work.

    Pros

    Lots of opportunity.
Hardworking employees especially among the lower ranks.

    Cons

Upper management lacks specific industry experience. Work loads are not evenly distributed. Cliques with politics playing too big a role.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at employees for their knowledge and true value that they can contribute.

    Pros

The best reason for working at Tandy would be to jump start your resume with know brands in the market.

    Cons

Tandy is very top heavy and lower level employees are always first to go. 2) Very catty work environment and favorites are always played. 3) You will be pitted co-worker against co-worker and it creates a very stressful work environment. 4. No one at the top knows anything about design or fashion. 4. No one has an enducation for experience in working with fashion. 5) You are rarely told what you are doing wrong or need to improv, only gossiped about and suffer later.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would say that they need to stop listening to so much gossip and try to meet with people to solve issues. Also, they need to understand their own shortcomings and not be so defensive. And finally, not to pit people against one another who are supposed to be on the same "team." And, give credit where credit is due for each employee. No one was treated as if they had done a good job. And finally, they should be more honest and look at sales reps for loss of business and not design. Many in design are let go bc of poor sales reps and not many are fired bc they are apart of an Elite grp of "friends."
