I have been working at Target

Pros

For someone looking to make 50k right out of college and building a resume in management this is a good place to start. Industry best benefits package.

Cons

Incredibly long hours, not for someone with a family at home. Expect to work min of 50+ hrs per week, if you work overnight expect more like 55-60. You are given about half the.resources necessary to complete your job and can not leave until the job is done.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ballence productivity and resource management, if company, sop says it will take 80 ours to complete a task give managers 80 hours worth of resources.

I have been working at Target

    Pros

    Flexible work schedules
Offers Benefit Packages & 401k Match
Many locations to transfer to if you would ever want or need

    Cons

Target is bringing in more and more talent straight out of college to run it's stores.
Opportunities to advance within the company are less available. Employees looking for advancement are not considered as desirable as fresh out of college grads. At the store level as a team member you will be expected to do many different job centers to get more hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It feels like Target does not value Team Members or Executives with experience. It appears they want to get rid of anyone they think is making too much money so they can replace them with someone making the bare minimum. Please value knowledgeable assets to the Target team and show your appreciation for their hard work through monetary compensation to improve morale.

I have been working at Target

    Pros

Free food in the break room, they hardly hassle you if you need time off.

    Cons

Favoritism in management, it gets annoying.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize team members when theyre doing a good job, not just when they fail.
