I have been working at Target

Pros

Great salary, but you must be willing to give a lot all of the time. Can become very draining on your personal life.

Cons

No fairness as to how promotions are given out. Seems like you have to have a look or being in the correct click to be respected.

I have been working at Target

    Pros

not going out of business stable job friendly people, knew where to go everyday, schedule was fair, register is easy, good training program

    Cons

very hhard to express ideas, thoughts to upper mgmt, half the time didnt know the other people working should do a get to know you introduction, never seemed to be enough associates to help the customers, payroll cuts

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

get to know your employees, revisit the hours given to run the store, customers walk around looking for more of us and get frustrated cause no one is on the floor. Cross training, bonus for associates,

    I worked at Target

    Pros

    Team members
    Professional development
Willingness of peers to work as a team and jump in and help when necessary
    Some benefits

    Cons

    Management
Change is constant, Pretty much 24/7.
    Majorly deadline driven
Will not look at anyone for a management or leader position unless they have a college degree even if they have a great amount of experience prior.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to start recognizing their staff when they have done an excellent job. Managers need to understand, that if they replace a previous manager, they need to set their expectations to the staff as theirs may be somewhat different than the previous managers because not all work the same way.
