I have been working at Target as a contractor (less than an year)

Pros

The best part about the job is definitely the people I work worth. Everybody is pretty chill for the most part.

Cons

The only downside I have is a very specific one. Im the only bike builder in the entire store so I spend my entire day alone with cheap bikes. It gets pretty monotonous after a while. This is not Target's fault however. It is what is.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

My managers are actually pretty great, I really couldn't offer them any tips. They are accessible, have an open door policy, and friendly.

I have been working at Target part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Starting pay is competitive, cross-training between departments, hours, decent benefits, open door policy with management, they try to help team members maintain a work / life balance.

    Cons

The higher management (ETL, STL) in many cases start in these higher positions without any prior experience with the company, while team members who have been there for a long time never get promoted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Before hiring someone from the outside to be an ETL, STL, or even a team lead, check around the store first. There are many qualified individuals who would make a great lead.
