Pros

Team member development is a focus. You feel appreciated as a team member/employee. Advancement opportunities within the first 14-18 months, yearly bonus depending on store performance. Tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Long hours, its retail! Work weekends and nights--some nights can last til 1-2am. Holiday hours are insane! Holidays are blacked-out for vacation time. Some team members have been with the company for YEARS and it can be difficult to manage them.

    Pros

Working there seemed like play time most of the time even when I had 30+ team members that was responsible for.

    Cons

As many large companies, it has its share of bureaucratic bs and their alleged development plans are a big turn off (not very open communication).

Typical retail - demanding young managers with no management training

    Pros

You don't have to worry about what towear - it's always the red shirt and khaki pants. And sometimes if they have expiring food, they'll put it in the break room.

    Cons

Very part-time. Only give the young people (like themselves) the hours. If managers aren't your buddies, you get the holiday and closing hours. Salary is ridiculous. Busted my but for an $0.08 raise...that's when I quit.

    Advice to Management

Train your managers. Teach them how to build a team with a variety of people not just ones that are the same as they are.
