I worked at Target full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

They really do promote a friendly environment for employees; I do know they fired a team leader for frequent outburst, and they constantly have events for team members to get some free food.

    Cons

While they do pretend to love you, they frequently hire from the outside people who have no experience in retail to higher positions instead of reaching out and promoting from with in. (I've had to train a few) They give poor raises, have chat sessions with team members to voice are concerns that do little to no good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start pouring money into your equipment (mainly PDA's), start listening to you employee's, don't be afraid of constantly changing the system till you find one that works best, put more money in to thoroughly training and re-training team members, raise team members pay and expectations and reach out to provide opportunities to grow and develop.
