I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

Pros

They are flexible with hours, have yearly raises, enough employees to cover your time off, great customers, great benefits, you get to know whenever something new comes out, because everyone buys it, you know when the best sales are, great experiance for high schoolers. There is also plenty of room to move up from wherever you start out!

Cons

This job was just really boring, and there is no music in the store and it is so dry. My hands were always raw within the first 30 minutes of my shift due to dryness and paper bags!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Add moistorizer to each cash register and add light music to the store, music makes customers happier, willing to buy a CD if they like a song, and forget about how long they are at the store.

I worked at Target as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Team working environment. Offering some small perks around busy holidays only (black Friday/Xmas time frame) that may include higher pay per hour to specific 'gift rewards' depending on your work performance, and flexible part time working schedules.

    Cons

Challenging around the hectic busy days (black Friday/Xmas time frame) due to working with less Tm. members that have this type of experience around this time frame. (Learn fast & pick up the pace or you will get over-whelmed with 'Guests' and job tasks). If working seasonal hiring, your hours can be adjusted w/ less hrs. towards the end of your contract.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perhaps add a "specialist" for the toys only section during the hectic busy days (black Friday/Xmas time frame) vice integrating them into Electronics even though they don't specify/tell you that' you'll be responsible for all the sections/rows of toys as well as all electronics as well.
