Pros

The team members are generally great. If you're eager to learn you can move around work-centers pretty easily.

Cons

Some of the managers are completely incompetent.

Advice to Management

Walk in our shoes. Spend a week actually doing our jobs, and nothing but our jobs. What I mean is literally "demote" yourself to a regular team member for a week and deal with the issues we have to deal with. I'm amazed at how little some of my managers actually know about the store and how it works. Not only will walking in our shoes help you understand the issues we face and the workload we deal with on a daily basis, but you'll also gain the respect of the team members that you work with.

    Pros

Great place to work right out of college, lots of room for growth and development. You will learn alot alot about your own personal leadership and management style. Ten percent employee discount is nice!

    Cons

Not enough hours to get all the work done. Really tough working in retail where nights, weekends, all major holidays are required and extra busy. It kills your social life!

Target Property Development. (That was the department name at the time)

    Pros

Great 401K package, dental benefits. Architects were great to work with.

    Cons

....Engineers not so. Poor and incompetent management on the engineering side. Now I know why engineers shouldn't be managers. HR was something of joke, too young and green, corporate indoctrinated with no real life experience.

    Advice to Management

Self excuse (fire) yourself, but I guess you need the money.
