I have been working at Target part-time (less than an year)

Pros

The atmosphere is really friendly and positive. I felt comfortable with my co-workers from day 1. The benefits are there, if you choose to stay for a while and I feel that their open-door policy is very honest.

Cons

The schedule is more like a guideline than a schedule.

I have been working at Target part-time

    Pros

    Nice company to work for
    decent pay
    nice coworkers
great upper management (I had a problem with a homophobic manager, and when upper management found out, the problem was quickly resolved)

    Cons

Management isn't on top of lowest level management
not that many hours, typically get 4 four hour shifts a week
    scheduling can be bad.
Schedule everyone evenly regardless of skill level

    I worked at Target

    Pros

Great development. There are so many tools that Target has for people to develop in their roles and move up.

    Cons

Ability to move up is stifled by 4 year degree requirement. It doesn't even have to be a related field, just a 4 year degree.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take feedback from team members. There was a lot of turnover in my store due to DTL installing her own little dictators, and now the store is in shambles.

    Neutral Outlook
