I have been working at Target full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Great work environment, great benefits,

Cons

Too much paper work and too many trainings.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Less paper work and less trainings for better work/life balance. Vacation coverage should be a breeze and not be so complicated.

I have been working at Target full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Friendly coworkers, and the team leaders/HR person/everyone in any kind of leadership position were all very willing to help me learn my job (something I heard varies from store to store), and when I learned quickly or did something well I felt noticed and rewarded for my efforts. Had very few issues so far with guests being rude or uncooperative.

    Cons

Not a very big employee discount! As with any company as large as Target, it's hard to really be yourself rather than a smiley employeebot.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A lot of basic things about the store are not told to new team members right away. Especially as a new sales floor team member, it's frustrating to not be able to answer all common guest questions with confidence by the end of the training period (Do you have any more of these in the back? Where can I find [insert item not in your section]? Do you guys do home delivery? etc).

I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

mostly team members, recognition, breaks are good, a lot of activies for team members, free food every once in a while, BENEFITS, work around your school schedule or other jobs,

    Cons

pay sucks, managers talk about associates behind their back, they dont hire enough people so you get stuck doing a job that like 2 or 3 people have to do, team leaders are mean sometimes, HAVE to be available on saturdays unless you request one off every so often

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stop talking behind team members backs because they cant trust yall
