I worked at Target full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Salary, benefits, schedule all make for an enticing career move. The Target brand can serve one's resume well.

Cons

Integrity gaps within leadership teams, poor disposition towards subordinate team members, military-style hierarchy that does not foster teambuilding or relationships.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove the education glass ceiling for team members that have demonstrated a commitment to the company.

    Pros

    It's better then no job.

    Cons

Managers are rude to seasonal employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being so clickish...and pay your workers according to their experience and educational background because so many workers are worth more than what you pay hourly.

I worked at Target part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You get work experience and you get to network and meet people. You do learn skills that can help you elsewhere.

    Cons

The worst thing about the location I worked at was management in all areas from team leads to ETL's and the store manager!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some management classes, listen to your workers, and stop picking favorites! Separate work life and private life ITS NOT HIGH SCHOOL!
