Cons

People seem to think that the jobs they do are rocket science. I was once asked if I had any experience in retail because I was picking up on things rather quickly. I told them that I had never worked in retail before silently thinking that a 3 year old could pick up on this stuff pretty quickly. Another thing that I didn't like is that as a sales floor team member you have to do EVERYTHING and the pay is not great. You also have to pick up the slack from other departments if they do not do their jobs correctly.

Advice to Senior Management

Unfortunately like most corporate retail stores the local management at the store does not have much control over pay and hours and number of employees. But I would say that at the particular store I worked at I would fire half of the staff and give the other have the difference in pay and hours. The store would run much more smoothly if the employees were getting paid what they were worth.
