Target – “Not worth the pay”

Pros

Great people to work with. Compensation and training were great. Target had a very inviting atmosphere to work in. Shift starts were filled with recognition given by employees, not management.

Cons

They work you like a dog. If you are salaried, forget about having a day off or life in general. Days off are filled with team building exercises that are mandatory, even if you have just put in 50 hrs in 3 days. I once worked 18 hrs straight, and had my guest from out of town stuck waiting outside of my apartment for 2 hrs. This was NOT by choice.

Advice to Senior Management

Do not make your employees work 14 hr days. Listen to your leaders and employees. The word burn-out is a warning, not a death sentence.
