I worked at Target full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

A lot of young, vibrant employees. Lots of opportunities for networking. The fast fun and friendly atmosphere also affects corporate not just stores. There's an annual sales meeting that brings in popular musicians. Also seeing team members from all over the United States and getting recognized with awards makes it a really exciting atmosphere.

    Cons

Poor Pay. Promotions take longer than expected. High turnover especially with minority employees. Business analysts work no less than 50 hours a week. Company likes to recruit recent undergrad graduates because they're really excited to work for Target. But the pay they offer is nothing compared to their competition (significantly lower especially for the amount of work being done). There are all kinds of reasons for delayed promotions. The annual raise isn't enough to encourage someone working so hard to stay with the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more in professional growth and movement within company to avoid high turnover.
