I have been working at Target part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Everyone is really friendly most of the time. Management is super helpful if you have questions...if you can find them. They leave you to do your work. no micro managing.

    Cons

The pay is less than one hopes. The raises are not much better. Communication is lacking in places. Especially from one dept to another. No one seems to want to work as a team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication is extremely important. Sometimes the salesfloor staff would love to know what's going on. Don't just tell management, include us too.

I worked at Target full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

They work well with people who are still in school. There is a lot of flexibility with your shifts and having them covered. The pay starts out high than at a few of their competitors.

    Cons

There are so many managers that don't even know how to run a register and know near nothing about the stores policies, but they are the ones that you are suppose to call when you need help... They will work you to the bone if you let them, but they still wont give you the raise that you deserve.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please send all of the managers through the training that every other employee has to go through. other wise they look like idiots.
