I worked at Target full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

"Fast, Fun, Friendly" culture. My colleagues there have become life-long friends and invaluable networking partners.

Cons

Target is a "play the game" company. You'll find a lot of fake smiles and cut-throat politics. If you're not young, pretty and well-dressed (even on casual Friday), you're going to find it very challenging to move forward.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your mid-level managers have become increasingly unhappy with senior leadership and are actively seeking options to get out. Steinhafel is not well respected and needs to look more closely at company values and culture in order to retain top talent and attract new leadership in the future.
