Current Employee - Executive Team Leader

I have been working at Target full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Great team
Great opportunities to grow (other positions, transfers)
Great pay + experience for first job

Cons

Hours + Scheduled shifts suck, 50 hour minimum no work/life balance. Holiday's 60+ hours off/on weekends
Weekly rollouts, something is consistently changing and you have to be all over it
Politics- in order to grow with the company you need to be in good standing with the important ones

Doesn't Recommend
Neutral Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I worked at Target part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Better than Walmart, clean store, fellow employees were generally pleasant to work with.

    Cons

Boring menial tasks, management forces use of terms like "team member" and "guest" and will correct you for saying employee/customer, team leads are unbearably upbeat, "Sales floor bingo" makes you feel like you're in kindergarten, very anti-union training materials

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees less like high school students at a pep rally.
