I have been working at Target full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Great salary (I think the main reason those of us who have stayed longer than 1-2 years out of college are still around), good people overall to work with (management level), not sitting at a desk all day.

Cons

Hours, holidays, work every other weekend. The worst part though is the babysitting, and by that I mean the few team members who call in to work frequently, yet it's difficult to fire them. Also the "guests"... you will be yelled at, have to clean up someone's kid's poop (not kidding), so prepare yourself.

I have been working at Target full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

As a GSA, I'm basically a manager, so I get perks such as rotating weekends, a flexible but fairly regulated schedule and vacation and personal time off.

    Cons

The pay sucks to be honest, because I'm in a supervisor role, I have to do everything the GSTL does plus cash office. The only difference is that I don't have to do paperwork. We're also expected to push Target cards and there is no type of bonus or Incentives to actually want to sell them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay employees what they're worth. Supervisor roles and cross trained tms are more valuable to the company and deserve to be compensated

I worked at Target full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

If it's not your career, its a decent job. Easy work.

    Cons

Compensation sucks, management doesn't give a crap about anything except if it looks like works getting done, employee motivation is low and they skip corners in their work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to your employees and how they do their work and actually do something about the ones that aren't doing anything right.
