I worked at Target full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Dynamic culture, great stores, strong focus on philanthropy.

    Cons

Popularity, not hard work, will help you advance. You must be young to continue to progress up the corporate ladder as well. Management moves around so often that there is no ownership of work product. Re-organizations are constant, whether needed or not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Target leadership needs to look outside the four walls of the company to continue to understand the best way to serve the guest. Management is insular and not open to new ways of thinking.

I worked at Target full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great Training and Benefits, hard working team members and an amazing location and some executives were great others just sat in the office when the big boss left and did nothing

    Cons

Working crazy hours and being a manger they expect more from you that is possible in 8 hours, so you end up sneaking around working off the clock so you dont get caught but if you dont get the work done you get in trouble. its a double edged sword.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hold other upper management people to a higher standard and dont sit around when you think no one is looking, because people notice and they talk.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
