I have been working at Target full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Target is a fast pace, breeding ground for leadership. They require that each team member be empowered and work a level up. They prepare you for any leadership role and use the multi industry skills that can be helpful in all fields

    Cons

Target is spending too much time and money in Canada in soft economy. They are asking too much of their teams with out providing resources to be successful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be aware of what you are asking. Know the pros and cons of your decisions. The expectation can't keep increasing without the buy in from the team.

    Pros

It's a fine place to start your way in the working world, of if you need a part-time gig and don't mind the general public.

    Cons

Lonely if you aren't into the culture of these kinds of stores and the people who find their way employed by them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide a little more insight for each employee in to how they can be better and move up the ranks.
