Store is slightly off the mark, but with some tweaking can hit the bullseye.

I have been working at Target

Pros

Variety of jobs available, the events done to boost employee morale (birthday/anniversary recognition, holiday celebrations, etc.), their attempts at trying to promote a team culture, prizes for accomplishing different things (i.e. employee: who gets the most credit card applications, with the best looking section, who promotes the highest sales by approaching guests and offering assistance, reaching a certain number of days without an accident, etc.), diversity, and broad hours allow school attendance to mesh with work schedule

Cons

Frequent work shift changes without discussion, keeping employees beyond their shifts on an almost daily basis; being locked in the building at the end of your shift after you are off the clock, having to wait for management to finish emails, discussions, equipment/key counts, etc. before disarming the store and unlocking the door; the lack of accountability for people who aren't efficiently doing their jobs, highers-ups who do things no one should do let alone someone who works for the company (i.e. using a towel that was for sale to dust the shelves, opening & using products without paying for them, etc.)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

To let you strong workers do the job you know they can do without micromanaging every step and speak with others who need an extra push to do their job. Staff properly to avoid the constant crisis mode workday. Also, give everyone in-store a chance to fill vacancies before putting someone from outside in the positions or filling them by 'unofficially' asking your 'pet' people to do them.

I have been working at Target

    Pros

For a team member, the best things about working at Target are the flexibility to work around your personal life and the opportunity to promote. For all who work at Target, the atmosphere and team work is always great (although, like in all cases, everything is not always perfect). There will be times when new programs have to roll out, and not everyone approves of them. Just make sure you give them a chance, and if they work out, everything is good. Most failed plans end up getting dumped once it is clear they won't succeed. Voice your opinion because your HR and STL are ther to listen to your concerns and suggestions.

    Cons

It's retail, so you will be working all/most major holidays, including Christmas Eve, 4th of July, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not give up the Target Standard in order to make $.
