I worked at Tata Consultancy Services

Pros

Good place for a non computer science background pass out from the college. Will get enough training that is worth.

Cons

For some unknown reasons the senior people will not value the freshers. May not get a proper support with in the team

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please consider a special training for the project leaders on how to treat and behave with the freshers who join the team

I worked at Tata Consultancy Services

    Pros

They will pay you. Lax work environment when not dealing with security. The food at the cafeteria is stellar and well priced.

    Cons

    Poor management
    Obsolete development machines
Oppressive security (version control is against official security policy)
Poor (easily circumventable) security (it is easier to circumvent security than it is to go through it)
    Lack of necessary development equipment
Poor communication between management and employees
Bureaucratic gridlock and political infighting are too common among management
    etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you tell your employees they are your most valuable assets, you should at least try to pretend that you mean it. Oh and there is a massive bureaucratic mess called "security" which needs to be cleaned up and reviewed so that it might actually, you know, secure your data.
