Pros

All TCS employees were divided into five bands from A to E – A being the top rated and E being the bottom. Top 10% associates get A, next 20% B, next 30% C, next 39% D and bottom 1% E. Band distribution motivates top 10% and at least half of next 20% (bottom half of 20% who knew they did not deserve A).

Cons

You can notice the feeling when associates take longer tea break, hesitate to talk, do not return calls, and when SLAs breach or just escape breaching.

    Pros

    Good leadership, better results, stability in the business, large employee and domain base, good growth to employees

    Cons

    Lack of proper infrastructure standards, individuality in office including the facilities provided to the employees, variable salary structure which can reduce your salary in next appraisal cycle..

    Advice to Management

    Need to be more friendly to employees, provide some more facilities to employees, salary structure should change in such a way that the salary should not reduce even if there is no hike, break the dominance of admin, hr , IDM departments and understand that the revenue is coming from the normal project employees.
