I worked at Taxware full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

There are still many good people that have worked there for a while that care about the business. Management is doing there best to get rid of these valuable assests and bringing in college grads that do not understand the business. Tax Research is still top notch. They have a Golden Tee in the break room.

Cons

The CEO and management team are arrogant and certainly do not understand the business nor care about protecting the current client base. The sales leadership is a joke. Long time clients are bailing left and right. They are way behind on product functionality to competition and play catch up which becomes obsolete once they catch up. Before leaving the company they were getting a minimum or five cancellations a month. The management team specifically told the sales team not to post on Glass Door.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out and visit your current client base that has been paying the bills. Start treating employees with respect.

    Pros

If you are right out of college and have no experience, it is a good place to get something on your resume. Almost all new hires, this is their first job.

    Cons

Not a good place for people with experience. Existing employees are leaving on their own or being pushed out since the company was bought out

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Taxware full-time

    Pros

-Senior management is motivated, energetic, and knowledgeable.
-The VC firm that owns the company has put a lot of resources into developing employees and technology, and the payoffs are already evident.
-Everyone in the management team makes it clear how much employees are valued here. They entrust employees to take on lots of responsibility and manage projects. As a result, everyone works really hard and performs really well.
-The company culture is one of collaboration, learning, and growth. You can learn about any part of the business you want, which can lead to new exciting opportunities down the road.

    Cons

-After all the shaking-up that the acquisition caused, there are still some processes that need firming up. But this will come in time.
-It's sometimes difficult to get information, since a lot of new people have been brought into the organization, and veterans have moved around to other departments. But if you are motivated to learn and figure it out on your own steam, everyone is helpful enough to make it happen for you.

Keep doing what you are doing!
