Pros

"The experience of teaching in a small town community changed my perspective of the education system. Its not just a job but a journey in which one becomes part of students lives and is changed forever.

Cons

The professional development is very difficult to complete if you have a family.

I have been working at Teach for America full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

They have an admirable mission, provide the academic and professional development support that your schools lack, and you meet a lot of likeminded and accomplished people.

    Cons

You are implicitly expected to make up for every institutional failure in your students' lives and no matter how much you do it's never enough. You're overworked and if you TRY to do everything you end up not taking care of yourself and your physical and mental health wanes.

    Cons

Might need to relocate and work with unexpected aged groups.
Peer pressure from co-workers and school.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more accommodating when (re)arranging position and place/school.
