I worked at Team Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

People outside of your department genuinely care about how you are doing.

    Cons

Micro-managing, lack of interest from manager, not enough training

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some time to train your employees. Do not expect them to come in with a full understanding of what is expected of them. One day of training does not prepare you for what is to come in the future.

I worked at Team Health as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, lots of locations at which to work.

    Cons

No benefits, a very large portion of your earnings skimmed off the top to pay for a VERY large organization with big salaries, as an independent contractor don't forget that you can add almost 8% federal tax on top of what you will pay in your tax bracket, and no real accounting of where all the money goes. The upshot is that you will be making less than you think, especially depending upon what part of the country you work in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get leaner, and pay they physician more of what they are earning.
