I have been working at Teavana part-time for less than a year

Pros

Salary- Starting out I make $8/hr. If I meet monthly sales goal I get 2% of my personal sales back.
Training- Very interesting and useful in the real world of sales too.

Cons

I usually spend all of my paycheck buying new tea.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

So many corporations have went digital. Make your schedule online.

    Pros

    Cool people, great sales training (depending on your situation), free tea all day and discounted products.

    Cons

    They simply don't pay enough for the work they ask you to do. The "commission" is pretty much unobtainable for all but the top sellers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Train your employees and don't take away hours when someone has a bad week. I saw too many people get hours taken away with no chance to redeem themselves, and it's an inescapable spiral.

    Pros

    Great discounts on tea, wonderful wealth of knowledge, great benefits offered

    Cons

    Hard sales job, sampling is terribly demeaning and over emphasized, time spent with customer cut short by a drive to get a customer to buy as much as possible in as little time as possible, aggressive and uncomfortable sales tactics, unrealistic sales goals
