Pros

The best reason to work for Techcess is if you are fresh out of college or no college degree but want the experience of getting into the IT field. Techcess exposes you to so much technologies at such a fast pace. You will learn faster than in an Enterprise environment. You will have a team that are all Jack of All Trades except Management.

Cons

Management communication is null and void. Great Techs do not equal great Managers. The Managers and Execs do not communicate information well. You will be told negative stuff all the time with no positive marks.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to motivate and communicate better! Learn to evaluate skills better as better to get employees in the right position. Create a better environment of trust and that you will listen to employees suggestions.

    Pros

    Techcess Group is a company full of hard working people, from employees to management. The management team if fair and honest with employee's. If an employee shows the proper initiative the company will reward them with advancement.

    Cons

    Like any small business that is in a competitive environment they must attempt to squeeze every bit of productivity out of each employee. There is not always a clear focus on priorities.

    Choose what areas of the industry that you would like to focus on and tackle that portion of the business. Focus investment of your time and money.

    Pros

    Techcess Group has a fast-paced work environment with a wide variety of clients, so technical employees get to work with a broad range of technologies. Whereas some companies will "compartmentalize" their employees (i.e. one person only does Citrix, one person only does Exchange, etc.), Techcess Group encourages its employees to learn as much about as many technologies as possible, and they even reimburse certification exam fees. Over six years at Techcess Group I became proficient with many different technologies and earned a long list of certifications, and as I grew the company kept pace with promotions and salary increases. If you want to grow both technically and professionally, and you're willing to work hard, Techcess Group is the place to do it.

    Cons

    The benefits aren't great, though that's to be expected at a small company. Management can be a bit overbearing at times. Higher-level technical staff are expected to work a lot of evening and weekend hours, though that's a given for IT staff at any company. The workload is very high, and the sales team often makes big promises to clients; the result is a high-pressure, high-stress environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The helpdesk is the front line and is the way most clients interact with the company, so it's important that the helpdesk staff be both professional and technically proficient. In fact, since the core business of Techcess Group is providing IT services, it's important that the technical staff all be both professional and technically proficient. Cutting costs on the technical side in order to bolster the sales and marketing budget or to continually find new products to sell has in the past been detrimental to the quality of the company's core business. On the sales side, Techcess needs to listen to a client's needs and work with them to build a solution that accomplishes their goals within their budget; I know of at least one client that went with another provider after Techcess kept trying to convince them of the solution they needed rather than working with them to develop a solution together.
