Current Employee - Customer Service Representative in Tempe, AZ

I have been working at TeleTech full-time (more than an year)

Pros

just barely beats trying to live off of unemployment benefits!

Cons

Customer service pay is $10.00/hr; no raises ever; no bonuses for strong performance. healthcare benefits are ridiculously expensive, based on a $20,800 annual pay. Company expects perfect performance and attendance for a ridiculously low wage; doesn't care about employee morale at all, has subjected two departments of employees to unsafe conditions that would NEVER have passed muster with OSHA or Tempe Fire Department. When a client company signs on with Teletech, they should understand that the bulk of their money goes to executive pay - and what's left over goes to us peons. A Truly DISGUSTING company.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You're just going to have to do with a little less money in your bank accounts, and start sharing with the peons who make your company a success in the first place. Otherwise, we may decide to help the clients LEAVE.

I worked at TeleTech full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

it's not easy but it was rewarding as the trainees are kind and friendly willing to share their knowledge specially for someone like who have no experience of working in the company for more than 10 years

    Cons

time schedule but it's adaptable .. smoking people ..understanding of how to dress up as they want to apply , everyone are like wearing a jeans and not everyone knows what is office attire and proper casual..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I hope they will teach the trainees how to dress properly and so that they could teach the staff to dress properly also unlike the way they do now .. they dress up like they are always going for cowboy grill night .. Yes they are not being seen by the customer but then for their own confidence so they are not look alike with the bar girls.

    Pros

Able to be creative and gain global expertise

    Cons

Difficult to have any work life balance
Very siloed - lacks real expertise in HR

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit laying everyone off and pay bonuses out - can't gain loyality when every 6-9 months another layoff is happening.
Ken needs to trust his leaders - or get new ones
