I worked at TeleTech full-time (more than a year)

Pros

As long as you show up for work everyday you're pretty much guaranteed to keep your job. There is some opportunity to move up if that's for you. It's a good place to build experience.

Cons

They do not give raises. When a contract ends your job may end as well. I worked for HP and when the contract Teletech had with them was not renewed most everyone was let go with a small severance package.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow for annual raises to be given to employees. Advancement is not for everyone and I think people would like to be rewarded for the time they put in there.

    I have been working at TeleTech part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Working from home and saving on gas money

    Cons

    The pay. No raises. Not acknowleged for good customer service, they only look at numbers. In a few short months our list of things we handle has grown longer but there is no training for the new things we have to do. We are told to google or go to ehow to find out how to help a caller with complex tech issues. It is represented to customers that there is expert help when they call and there is not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    get rid of this dept, go back to the specialized tech support areas.
    Keep agents up on changes to terms and conditions of policies. Customers are pissed at constantly shifting and inaccurate information.

    I worked at TeleTech full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    They paid on time. I never had a check late. Also, they had plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot.

    Cons

    Shitty work environment. Poor communications, and their training is awful. Their tools to do the job suck, and you have to show up to work early to boot you computer get your tools up and running before you can clock in. Focus is 100% on sales and not helping the customer. Unless by helping the customer you mean sell them something. The only people that get ahead are those that can sell really well, even if your job is pc support.

    Stop lying to people and learn to actually lead.
