I worked at Teleperformance full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Extremely easy job. Very little time required to carry out what is asked of you.

    Cons

    - Under-skilled and significantly unprofessional management at all levels.
    - The bullying and childish playground attitudes of certain employees.
    - High proportion of "uncannily unintelligent" employees.
    - No pay-rises. No performance reviews.
    - Poor salary.
    - No personal development.
    - No 1:1 meetings with managers to discuss workload, progress or general well-being.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

"Restructure" most of the existing management and hire externally for some much needed fresh-thinking.

At the end of the day, call centre companies have little corporate ambition or opportunity, so the required calibre of personnel is low and the skill of management in relation to looking after the well being and development of its employees is limited. New employees (especially those ambitious few) see this and are soon disgruntled, demotivated and leave the company as soon as possible. What remains is a majority base of limited individuals, and from this selection, the management and team leaders are recruited. Incompetence is therefore institutionalised and improvements to working conditions do not happen since there are none proficient or able to distinguish what constitutes a well-run organisation.
