Pros

Great pay and benefits. Good opportunities for for lateral experiences and for advancement. Very diverse population of patients. Chance to work with advanced medicine practices and excellent physicians. For those concerned with safety - their security department is outstanding and have received the same training as the Philadelphia Police Department.

Cons

Parking was an issue, but the University has built a state of the art parking garage and has developed other smaller lots that employees are assigned to.

    Pros

Students, faculty members, intellectually stimulating, good tuition benefits, academic environment

    Cons

Hiring freeze for 3-4 years has contributed to increased job responsibilities for salaried (non-bargaining positions) employees. Freeze on salary increases for non-bargaining staff for several years with increased employee contributions for healthcare.

    Advice to Management

Increase salaries for valued employees in line with new hire salaries to demonstrate good will.
