I have been working at Temple University as a contractor (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Conscientious management, well-organized, appreciative, excellent brand name; I have thoroughly enjoyed my engagement with Temple. They make it so easy to work for them -- so it is a very low-stress experience. I have been teaching there for 10 years, and can honestly say I've never had a bad day. The management team that oversees the non-credit curriculum is top-notch. I have recommended Temple to other non-credit instructors.

    Cons

Hard to come up with any complaints, based on my experience

Not a university atmosphere for the Computer Services Department

I have been working at Temple University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Can't beat their benefits, including tuition remission, medical, dental, vision, the week between Christmas and New Year's off, etc. The benefits package and perks make up for the not-so-competitive pay that most universities have.

    Cons

At the computer services department, the culture is almost 1980's corporate. A lot of micro-managing, flex time is rare, you have to clock in and out, working remotely is non-existent, unless you are working from home after-hours.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
