Nice to work for a company with ethical behavior

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) San Francisco, CA

ProsA company at the cutting edge of the industry
A company with ethical behavior
Good training is provided
Remote working is encouraged
Challenging projects

ConsA large amount of travel is involved
Salary does not seem to be linked at all to performance
Performance reviews are more focused on "identifying and filling the gaps in your skills" than on working out how best to use the skills you already have to benefit the company i.e. micro view rather than macro view
HR is just awful (as usual) - Bill Gates could be working there and they would be trying to limit his salary as a BASIC programmer rather than identifying his potential to the company

Advice to Senior ManagementYou have world class people in your organization that are being treated as commodities. Work out a way to identify them and use them appropriately. It is easy - monitor who is actually delivering.
